Feelings: With BLee's recommendation, we headed out to the new Italian establishment of hand crafted frozen dessert on stick, Popbar in West Village. It is conveniently located near Grom and many other gelato institutions, and it is open late on weekends (1am) to accommodate sweaty bar crowds who might crave cool treats on a stick.

Once you enter this small place, you see a colorful alley of gelato, sorbetto, and yogurt on sticks. You pick your flavor and customize it with a coating of chocolate or nuts or whatever "Poppings" you wish. I chose Yogurt with a single dip of dark chocolate. Yes, you could indeed request for double dip for those of you who love frozen chocolate.

RB was overwhelmed by the number of stick choices, and under much pressure, he ordered Mixberry Sorbetto with dark chocolate dip. It turns out RB makes much better selection under pressure. His sorbetto was subtly sweet and tangy and created a harmonious perfection with the richness of frozen dark chocolate. I thoroughly enjoyed my yogurt with chocolate, but the fresh and light berry flavor with dark chocolate was hard to beat.

Whether sorbetto, gellato or yogurt, their ingredients are extremely fresh, gluten and preservative free, and completely without high fructose corn syrup. However, I must warn you it is absolutely not addiction free! Ever since I left the place on Saturday night, I cannot stop thinking about the sorbetto with crispy cold dark chocolate dipping. I wish the place was a little bigger with seating since it is always difficult to eat ice cream on stick standing up. And with $4-$5 price tag for gelato/sorbet/yogurt, I feel that the seating would do the justice.
