Feelings: My mother is coming to visit from Osaka for a week. She's a dessert fanatic. She is usually a vegan but once overdosed on chocolates and was sent to the ER. No joke. I am thinking of taking her to the following eateries... If you have any suggestions, please do let me know!

Oh I thought you meant Connecticut for a sec-- HAHA.
I'd recommend http://www.candlecafe.com/ for good vegan/vegetarian in a mom friendly setting. Most of the vegan/vegetarian places in the village I used to go to have gone off (caravan of dreams). If you are looking for something small and quiet I'd try http://sacredchow.com/. Have fun!
We just discovered Doughnut Planet and their delicious variety of donuts! My lord! ALev can attest to its awesomeness if you haven't already tried.
Also, Thurmon and I just got back from Five Points on Great Jones for his b-day. Delicious food all around and the service was fantastic.
