Feelings: Ramen and Friends got a close up on another talented artist/writer, Trish P!
R&F: Who are you?
TP: Trish.
R&F: What do you do? What do you do for fun?
TP: I'm a graphic designer. For fun: music, watch movies, read books, knit slightly irregular scarves, try to draw things, spend time with close friends and relations.
R&F: Where can we find you?
TP: When at work: at my desk. When at home: at my desk. All other times: by the snack machine.
R&F: Your blog/website?
TP: www.anythinggauche.com
R&F: Your favorite food?
TP: Tacos, soups, cupcakes, and roasted Brussels sprouts.
R&F: Your favorite restaurant?
TP: My go-to spots for quick, inexpensive, and very yummy food in the places I've called home: Arthur Avenue Market in the Bronx, Taqueria in Jersey City and Hanco's in Brooklyn.
R&F: Your most memorable food outing?
TP: Always involves a lot of family in someone's kitchen. the last major one was a big family reunion in Virginia about 5 years ago. long long table in the kitchen; lots of homemade food; everyone -- well, the adults anyway -- was up till 4 in the morning talking, drinking, and eating. so wonderful.
R&F: Your most horrific food related experience?
TP: Being 9 and uttering the words "who dares me to eat my 6th slice of pizza??" There is a limit to how much pizza a kid should eat in one sitting.
R&F: What do you find most difficult when you are blogging?
TP: My blog consists mostly of images, so the process of attaching the images and linking each one to their source can sometimes be tedious. The rest of it is fun!
R&F: Tell me what you ate today.
TP:
Breakfast: granola bar from office vending machine.
Lunch: fritata with three bean salad and artichoke couscous from Once Upon a Tart.
Book club meeting: two Brooklyn Lagers from Scratchers.
Dinner: a spicy redneck (bacon wrapped hotdog with chili, coleslaw, and jalapeno) and tater tots from Crif Dogs and then chocolate, banana, and coconut macaroons from The Dessert Truck.
R&F: Any message for Ramen and Friends?
TP: I love Ramen & Friends! May it live long and prosper!
