Feelings: Former "Thai Angel" is now called Zabb Thai, and they dropped a menu in our mailbox. The price is slightly higher than our favorite, Poodam, but we were excited to see a vast variety of dishes to choose from. My Go Rheng noodle was perfectly chewy with curry flavor, but it was a bit too soupy and missing spices. RB's Pad Khee Mhow was on the sweet side for the dish, but the large chunks of juicy tomato were a nice addition. The steamed vegetable dumplings were... well, your stereotypical dumplings. Zabb Thai is adequate for 30th ave crowd in Astoria as well as mainstream Thai lovers. But as for people who enjoy bold flavors and authenticity, Poodam is hands down a winner of Astoria so far.
